- Introduction
Mudpie Limited and Mpdclick Limited (together, “we”, “our” and “us”) are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. This privacy policy describes how and why we obtain, store and process data which can identify you. Please read the following carefully to understand our views and practices regarding your personal data and how we will treat it.
We will only use the information that we collect about you lawfully (in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998 (“the Act”)) and for the purposes of the Act, the data controller is Mudpie Limited.
- What Information do we collect
We may collect and process information about you for two reasons: first, to process your request for our products and secondly, to provide you with the best possible experience when visiting www.mudpie.co.uk, www.mpdclick.com and www.trendbookshop.co.uk (“our sites”). The type of data we may collect and process about you includes:

if relevant to your order, credit/debit card or other payment details.
This includes, for example, information provided at the time of registering to use our sites, subscribing to our service, posting material or requesting further services. - How do we collect information?
We will ask you to submit information by completing online forms. Cookies are used on the site to maintain interaction for the duration of your session. These cookies do not leave permanent information on your computer once your session has expired. You can set your browser to disable cookies. However, you should be aware that if you disable cookies this may limit your ability to enjoy the full functionality of the website.
- Why do we collect information?
Information is required to fulfil your order of our products. During the order process, we will give you the option to receive details of any promotions we may run from time to time and if you subsequently decide you no longer wish to receive these, then you will be given the option to unsubscribe from our mailing list.
We may use information held about you in the following ways:
- to ensure that content from our sites is presented in the most effective manner for you and your computer;
- to provide you with information, products or services you request from us or which we feel may interest you, where you have consented to be contacted for such purposes;
- to carry out our obligations arising from any contracts entered into between you and us;

If you are an existing customer, we will only contact you by electronic means with information about goods and services similar to those which were the subject of a previous sale to you.

- Who do we disclose it to?
We will only pass on information about you as an individual (as opposed to aggregate information) to third parties to enable us to perform services requested by you or with your prior consent.
We may disclose your personal information to any member of our group, which means our subsidiaries, our ultimate holding company and its subsidiaries, as defined in Section 1159 of the UK Companies Act 2006.
If our business is sold or integrated with another business your details may be disclosed to our advisers and any prospective purchasers and their advisers and will be passed on to the new owners of the business. We may also disclose or access your account if required to do so by law or by any Governmental body, or in order to enforce or apply our terms and conditions of supply and other agreements; or to protect the rights, property or safety of us, our customers or others. - Where we store your personal data
Owing to the global nature of the Internet infrastructure, the information you provide may be transferred to, or stored at, a destination outside the European Economic Area (“EEA”) which does not have similar protections in place regarding your data, and its use, as set out in this policy. The information may also be processed by staff operating outside the EEA who work for us or one of our suppliers. Such staff may be engaged in, among other things, the fulfilment of your order, the processing of your payment details and the provision of support services. Where possible, we will take all reasonable steps to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this privacy policy. If you are in a territory where we have appointed an agent, your request will be transferred to the agent that territory. By submitting your personal data, you consent to these transfers, storing or processing.
- Security
Keeping information about you secure is very important to us and certain sections of the site may encrypt data. Any payment transactions will be encrypted. Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password which enables you to access certain parts of our sites, your are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share a password with anyone.
However, no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be totally secure. As a result, whilst we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information which you send to us, and any transmission is at your own risk.

You have the right to ask us not to process your personal data for marketing purposes. We will usually inform you (before collecting your data) if we intend to use your data for such purposes or if we intend to disclose your information to any third party for such purposes. You can exercise your right to prevent such processing by checking certain boxes on the forms we use to collect your data. Our sites may, from time to time, contain links to and from the websites of our partner networks, advertisers and affiliates. If you follow a link to any of these websites, please note that these websites have their own privacy policies and that we do not accept any responsibility or liability for these policies. By submitting your information you consent to the use of that information as set out in this policy. If we change our privacy policy we will post the changes on this page, and may place notices on other pages of the website, so that you may be aware of the information we collect and how we use it at all times. We will also e-mail you should we make any changes so that you may consent to our use of your information in that way. Continued use of our sites will signify that you agree to any such changes.
You are entitled to have a copy of personal information we have about you, should you request it, under the Act. Any access request may be subject to a fee of £10 to meet our costs in providing you with details of the information we hold about you. Please send an email to orders@mudpie.co.uk.
